3/4 c Butter flavor shortening
1 1/4 c Light brn. sugar, packed
2 tb Milk
1 tb Vanilla
1 Egg
1 3/4 c All purpose flour
1 ts Salt
3/4 ts Baking soda
1 c Semi-sweet choc. chips
1 c Pecan pieces
Heat oven to 375 F. Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and
vanilla in large bowl. Beat at med. speed of elec. mixer untill
creamy. Beat egg into creamed mixture. Combine flour, salt and
baking soda and mix into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir
in chocolate chips and pecan pieces. Drop by rounded tablespoonsful
3″ apart on UNGREASED cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 min. for
chewy cookies (cookies will appear moist-do not over bake), or 11 to
13 mnin for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheet 2 min. Remove to
rack to cool.
