2 c All-purpose flour 1 c Brown sugar
1 ts Baking soda 1/2 c Butter
1 ts Salt 1/2 c Shortening
2 c Rolled oats 1/2 c Sour milk
Directions Stir first 5 ingredients together.Melt fats and mix with
dry ingredients.Stir in milk, mixing well. Chill dough 1/2 hour. Roll
out to 1/4″ thickness on lightly floured board. Cut with cookie
cutter, about 2″ in diameter.Place on greased baking sheet and bake
in a moderate oven 350 degrees 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly
brown.
Note; When I make these I put 2 together with jam between and they
are a favorite with my grandchildren.
