Ingrients & Directions


1 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Sugar
2 ts Baking powder (check the
-expiration date)
1 Egg; lightly beaten
3/4 c Milk
2 tb Cooking oil; melted butter,
-or bacon grease

My children die for these pancakes. They are just good old plain pancakes,
but nary a one survives to be thrown away. Here goes:

Preheat griddle. Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together.
Combine egg and milk. Add to dry ingredients, stirring only until mixed.
Add oil and stir til mixed only. Drop of griddle and watch while bubbles
form and pop. Only then do you turn. Second side takes less time. These are
great! Variations are to add nuts, berrys, apples with cinnamon and nutmeg.
