3 tb Water 4 md Red Delicious apples —
4 ts Cornstarch Peeled & sliced
1 ea Egg — beaten Pastry for double-crust pie
3/4 c Light cream 9 Inches
3/4 c Sugar 2 tb Butter or margarine
1 ts Ground cinnamon 1 tb Milk
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg 1 tb Cinnamon-sugar
In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until dissolved. Add egg,
cream, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Place apples in a large bowl; pour
cream mixture over and stir to coat. Line a 9-in. pie pan with the
bottom pastry. Pour apple mixture into crust; dot with butter. Top
with remaining pastry; flute edges and cut slits in fop. Brush with
milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. bake at 350 deg. for 55
minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 6-8 servings
