Marmalade Nut Bread

Ingrients & Directions


PATTI – VDRJ67A
3 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1 tb Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
2 Eggs; beaten
1 c Milk
1 c Nuts; chopped
Use pecans -OR- walnuts
1/2 c Shortening; melted
1/2 c Orange marmalade
1 tb Grated orange rind
Cream cheese; softened (opt)

Sift together dry ingredients; stir in remaining ingredients, except cream
cheese, just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon mix into a greased
9×5″ loaf pan. Bake at 350~ for 1 hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from
pan and cool completely on wire rack. Serve with cream cheese.
