Ingrients & Directions


1 c Cut-Up Dates
1 1/2 c Boiling Water
1 tb Baking Soda
1 ts Vanilla
4 tb Melted Butter
3 3/4 c All-Purpose Flour
2 Eggs; Beaten Lightly
1 1/2 c Sugar

Put dates in water. Let stand and add soda. Let stand some more. Mix
flour and salt. Beat eggs until light. Add sugar slowly, vanilla and
butter. Add date mixture and flour. Put into 2 greased bread loaf
pans. Bake at 325F for 1 hour.
