Apple Cake

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Flour — sifted
1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
6 tb Sugar
1/4 lb Butter
1 Egg
1/4 c Milk
4 c Peeled, sliced apples
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 c Currant jelly — (optional)

Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and 3 tablespoons sugar into a
bowl. Work in half of the butter. Beat the eggs and milk together
and add, mixing until a dough is formed. Pat onto a buttered 12 x
18-inch baking pan. Arrange the apples in rows. Sprin
