1/2 lb Sweet butter
1 c Sugar
6 Egg yolks
1 c Flour — sifted
1 c Cornstarch — sifted
1 ts Baking powder
1/8 ts Salt
2 tb Brandy
6 Egg whites — stiffly

Confectioners’ sugar

Cream the butter; gradually add the sugar, beating until light and
fluffy. Add 1 egg yolk at a time, beating after each addition. Sift
the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt into the butter
mixture; mix lightly and stir in the brandy. Fold in th
