Super Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


3/4 c Butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 c Dark brown sugar,packed
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Water
1 Large egg
2 ts Vanilla extract
1 c All-purpose flour,after sift
1 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Cloves
8 oz Semisweet chocolate chips
1 c Pecans or walnuts,broken
3 c Quick cooking oats

Preheat oven to 350 degrees with the rack in the center position of
the oven.Grease three cookie sheets with vegetable oil.Either by hand
or in an electric mixer on low speed,cream butter,sugars,water,egg
and vanilla.Add the flour,salt,cinnamon,baking soda,cloves,chocolate
chips,cloves,nuts and oats.Using a soup spoon to form mounds set 1″
apart on cookie sheets.Bake 12 to 15 minutes,turning the rack once
back to front during the baking.Remove the cookie sheet immediately
to cool on a rack.Makes about 50 cookies.
