1 c Flour
1/2 c Cocoa
1/4 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Margarine
1 c Sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Eagle brand condensed milk
6 oz Semi sweet chocolate chips
1 2 ounces jar maraschino
-cherries
(drain and reserve syrup)
Stir together first 5 dry ingredients. Beat margarine and sugar; then
add egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture until blended. Shape
dough into 48 1+ balls on ungreased cookie sheets. Press down center
with thumb. Put well drained cherry in center.
Melt chocolate chips and milk over low heat. Stir in 4 tsp. reserved
cherry syrup. Spoon 1 tsp. frosting over each cherry. Spread to cover.
Bake at 350o for 8-10 minutes.
