Apple Cake

Ingrients & Directions


1/3 c Margarine 1/2 t Salt
2/3 c Sugar 1 t Baking soda, in 2/3 c water
1 c White flour 1 c Finely chopped apple
1 c Whole-wheat flour 1/3 c Raisins
1/2 t Cinnamon 1/3 c Chopped walnuts
1/2 t Ground cloves 2 ea Egg whites, whipped
1/2 t Nutmeg

Cream the margarine and sugar. Add dry ingredients and water
alternately, then apple. Dust the raisins and nuts with a small
amount of flour and add them to the batter. Fold in the egg whites.
Bake in a 8 in. square nonstick pan at 350F for 30 to 40 min. or
until firm. Cal: 295; Fat 2 1/5g.
