1 1/2 c Canned cherries, tart
1 ts Almond extract
2 tb Butter
1 ts Salt
1/3 c Sugar
3 c Bread flour
2 tb Vital gluten
1 1/2 ts Active dry yeast
1/2 c Almond slivers

1 3/4 LB
1 3/4 c Canned cherries, tart

almonds at the beep or appropriate time for your machine. (There is a
misprint in the book. They say add cherries at beep, but if you wait
that long you will have no moisture to mix the dough.) CYCLE: sweet,
white; no timer SETTING: light

NOTES : Pack cherries tightly in a measuring cup. You may try to
double
the yeast for a taller loaf. This is a low rising, dense loaf.
