Yavapai Sunflower Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1/4 c Honey
1 ts Salt
1/4 c Butter; softened
1 tb Baking powder
2 Egg; beaten
1 c Milk
1 c FLour, whole wheat
1 1/2 c Sunflower seeds, ground
-shell & meat or meat only
1/2 c Sunflower meats; whole or
-coarsely chopped

Beat the honey and butter together, then beat in the eggs. Combine the
flour, baking powder, salt and ground seeds, adding to the
honey-butter mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the whole
sunflower seeds. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake one
hour at 325 F. Cool on a rack. This bread slices better when cool.
