Apple Coffeecake

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Unbleached flour
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
3/4 c Granulated sugar
1/3 c Skim milk — at room
Temperature
2 Egg whites — whipped
1/3 c Corn syrup
2 Apples — cut in 1/2″
Wedges
2 tb Cinnamon sugar

Preheat oven at 350. Prepare a 9″ round baking pan with cooking
spray and flour. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder,
salt, and sugar. In another mixing bowl, combine milk, egg whites,
and corn syrup. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until
moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Arrange apples on top,
overlapping to cover. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 50
minutes.
