Bread Pudding Made With White Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1/2 lb Firm white bread 1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Raisins 1/4 ts Nutmeg
1 c Sugar 8 Large eggs
1 tb Cornstarch 6 c Milk
1 ts Cinnamon 1 tb Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast bread on baking sheet until
golden. Cool. Cover raisins in hot water and soak. Combine sugar,
corstarch, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Whisk eggs then gradually
whisk in sugar mix. Whisk in sugar mix, milk, vanilla. Spread toast
in a 13×9 glass baking dish. Pour egg mix over bread.
Drain raisins and sprinkle over top. Bake 50 minutes until top is
golden and center is just set. Let stand at least 10 minutes.
