Spinach Garlic Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1 Loaf 1 ts Italian seasoning
French or Italian bread 1 1/2 ts Fennel seed — crushed
Pound 1 lg Tomato — seeded & chopped
1 md Onion — chopped 1 1/2 c Mozzarella cheese — 6 oz.
2 Garlic cloves — minced Shredded
3 tb Olive oil 1 tb Dried basil
1 pk Spinach Chopped fresh parsley,
Thawed & well drained frozen Optional
& chopped Bread
1 tb Parmesan cheese — grated

Cut bread in half lengthwise. Place with cut side upon a baking
sheetl; set aside. In a skillet, saute onion and garlic in oil until
tender. Add spinach and stir until heated through,about l
minute.Remove from the heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese,ltalian
seasoning and fenne seed; mix well. Spread evenly over bread halves.
Sprinkle with tomato, mozzarella and basil. Bake at 400 deg. for 8-l0
minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Cut into slices and serve immediately. Yield: 8-10 servings
