Cranberry Cheese Nut Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Cranberries; frozen quickly,
-then put through a coarse
-chopper
2 tb Shortening
1 Egg
3/4 c Orange juice
2 c Flour
1 c Sugar
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Grated cheddar cheese
1/2 c Chopped walnuts; or pecans

Chop cranberries, which have been frozen quickly, by putting through coarse
chopper blade. Cream shortening and beat in eggand orange juice. Sift and
add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in cranberries,
grated cheese and nuts. Turn into one large loaf pan or two smaller onces.
Bake at 350 for 40-60 minutes. Cool and slice with a sharp knife.
