—Wet—
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 c Corn oil
—Dry—
2 1/2 c Flour
1 1 lb. can fruit cocktail;
-plus juice
2 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1/4 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Allspice
1/4 ts Cloves
1/2 ts Salt
—Topping—
2 Sticks butter; melted
1/2 c Milk
3/4 c Light brown sugar
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Walnuts
Mix wet ingredients, sift together dry ingredients, mix together. Bake at
350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. To make Topping: Combine butter, milk and
light brown sugar and bring to a hard boil for 1 minute. Remove. Add
vanilla and walnuts. Icing cake while cake is still warm
