6 c Sliced apples (up to 7)
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 ts Nutmet
1/2 ts Lemon peel
2 Pie crusts
3/4 c Each brown and white sugar
3 tb Margarine
Mix lemon peel, nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugars. Put 1/2 of apples in bottom
of crust. Sprinkle 1/2 of the sugar mixture. Add rest of apples. Put rest
of sugar mix on top. Sprinkle lemon juice over apples. Dot with 3 tbsps
margarine. Add top pie crust (slice it to release steam). Bake 40-50 mins
at 425 degrees til golden.
*note – I find that 30 mins at 425 is plenty.
