2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts -Salt
1/2 c Butter
1 c Sugar
3 Egg yolks
1 ts Vanilla
3/4 c Milk
Preheat oven to 375F. Have all ingredients at room temp. Sift
flour & resift with baking powder & salt. Add butter & cream till
soft. Add sugar gradually & cream till light. Beat in egg yolks. Add
vanilla or lemon flavouring. Add flour mixture to butter migxture
in 3 parts, alternating with milk. Stir batter smooth after each
addition. Bake in greased layer pans about 25 min. Spread LEMON
FILLING between layers when cool. Frost MAKES: 2 8″ ROUND CAKES
