3/4 c Butter
3/4 c Light brown sugar
1/4 c Dark brown sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/3 c Flour, all-purpose
3/4 ts Baking soda
6 oz Bittersweet chocolate
Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream together butter and sugars until light
and fluffy. Beat egg and vanilla into creamed sugars. Sift flour
and baking soda together, then add to egg/vanilla/sugars mix. Chop
chocolate into pieces, then stir into mix. It is traditional to
sample the batter at this point before proceeding. Drop the
remaining batter (if any) by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for about ten minutes.
