1/2 c Butter or shortening
1 c Sugar
2 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Milk
12 oz Chocolate chips
2 c Boiling water; (or hot
-coffee)
Mix together butter, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Pour
this batter into a big oblong cake pan (preferably glass). Sprinkle the top
with a lot of brown sugar, and nuts if you like them. Then sprinkle on
chocolate chips and pour water over the chocolate chips and bake it in a
350 F oven for ~50 minutes.
The chocolate all slides to the bottom of the pan. Best served with ice
cream or whipped cream.
