1/2 c Margarine
2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c Refried beans or pinto beans
1/2 c Chopped nuts
1 1/4 c Flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Each cinnamon & soda
1/2 ts Each cloves & allspice
-GLAZE-
1 c Brown sugar
1/4 c Milk
1 Stick margarine
1 ts Vanilla
Cream margarine, eggs & sugar. (If using pinto beans, put them through a
blender). Add beans to creamed mixture alternately with sifted dry
ingredients. Add nuts. Bake in greased & floured 9×13-inch pan 1 hour or
until done. Glaze. Glaze: Mix sugar, milk & butter in heavy saucepan. Boil
5 minutes, stir in vanilla. Pour over hot cake.
