Corn Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1 1/2 c Winter Wheat flour
3 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
2 tb Sugar
1/2 c Yellow corn meal cup
I jalapeno chile, minced
1 c Buttermilk
3 tb Bacon fat, melted
1 tb Vegetable shortening,
Melted

Preheat oven 400 degrees Mix all dry ingredients well. Add fat,
shortening. buttermilk and jalapeno. Mix lightly. Bake 25 minutes in
greased 9-inch round cast iron skillet.
