This one was contributed by a good friend who knows just about
everything there is to know about beer. It’s a moist, evenly
textured bread that’s good enough to eat plain. Cheers! (Note that
the 1-pound Panasonic/National loaf needs to bake on the rapid cycle
to prevent collapse. Also, to produce a nicer looking loaf in the 1
1/2-pound Panasonic/National, reduce the milk to 1/4 cup.) 1
1/2-pound loaf 1/2 cup milk (for the Panasonic/ 1/4 cup milk
1-pound loaf
National, use 1/4 cup milk) 5/8 cup flat bock beer (or 1 cup

setting, and press “start”. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread

slicing. For 1-pound loaf: Place all ingredients in bread pan,
select “rapid bake” setting, and press “start”. After the baking
cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to
cool 1 hour before slicing.
