2 c Sugar
3 c Water
4 tb Shortening
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Allspice
1 ts Cinnamon
4 c Flour
1 c Chopped nuts

Here is a cake that my mom used to bake for us. It is Deeeelicious!
Cook for 10 minutes the raisins, sugar and water. Add the shortening and
let cool. Add the remaining ingredients. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 min.
