1 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 c Shortening
2 Eggs
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
2 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Sour milk
2 c Apples — peeled, chopped
***TOPPING***
1/4 c Nuts
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Cinnamon
Cream sugars and shortening together. Beat in eggs, mixing well. Sift
together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Add sifted
dry ingredients alternately with sour milk to creamed mixture. Fold in
apples. Pour into greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Topping: Stir together nuts,
sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over cake. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes.
