Fresh Apple Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


1/2 c Butter or margarine
1 1/4 c Packed brown sugar
2 Eggs
2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/2 ts Allspice
1/4 ts Cloves
1/2 c Apple juice
1 c Grated unpeeled raw apple
3/4 c Chopped walnuts
1 c Raisins

In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs until
smooth. In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Add to the creamed
mixture along with the apple juice. Stir in the apples, nuts and raisins.

Never overmix the ingredients when combining. Butter a large cookie sheet.
Using 2 tsp.; put walnut sized pieces of dough, 1-1/2 inches apart on the
cookie sheet. Bake 375 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Makes
2 dozen.
