Grandma Conner’s Jewish Coffee Cake

Ingrients & Directions


YIELD: 1 CAKE
1 c Sugar 1 1/2 c Sour cream
1 c Butter 3 c Flour
3 ea Eggs 1/2 t Salt
2 t Almond flavoring 3 t Baking powder

FILLING
1/2 c Sugar 1/2 c Chopped nutmeats
1/2 c Flour 1/2 t Cinnamon

Combine sugar, butter, eggs, almond flaovring, and sour cream. Beat
until Smooth. Sift dry ingredients together and combine with wet
mixture. Grease a 10″ tube pan and line bottom with waxed paper. Pour
half of the batter in and sprinkle with combined filling ingredients.
Pour remaining batter over. Bake in a preheated 350 oven until
toothpick comes out clean. Let stand 15 minutes before removing cake
from pan and cooling on wire rack.
