Old Fashioned Pound Cake

Ingrients & Directions


4 1/2 c Flour 10 ea Eggs
2 1/4 c Sugar 1 1/2 ts Salt
1 lb Butter 2 ts Cognac, rum or vanilla

Beat butter until smooth, mixer on low speed. Add sugar and beat until
fluffy. Add flavoring then eggs in 4-5 portions. Add salt to sifted
flour. Add 1/2 cup flour at a time beating well after each addition,
on low speed. Line loaf pans with brown paper. Bake 40- 50 minutes at
350 degrees. At holiday time, the addition of fruit makes this a
wonderful fruit cake, or top it with strawberries and cream.
