Ingrients & Directions
1 ea cups all purpose flour tsp. salt
cup sugar 1/3 c Cold butter
1 ea tsp. baking powder cup curants
tsp. baking soda 3/4 c Buttermilk
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and soda, and salt. Stir
together very well. Cut in butter till it is in tiny bits. Stir in
currants. Pour buttermilk over flour mixture and stir until rough
batter is formed. Drop batter in 8-10 mounds on a cookie sheet thats
been lightly greased. Bake at 425F for 12-18 minutes or till lightly
browned. Makes 8-10. AR/95
