Apple Cheese Quick Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1/2 c Unsalted butter, softened
1/3 c Sugar
1/3 c Honey
2 lg Eggs
1 c Whole wheat flour
1 c All purpose flour
1 ts Double acting baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 c Granny smith apples,grated
1/2 c Swiss cheese, grated
1/2 c Pecans,chopped

GARNISH
Apple wedges
1/4 c Lemon juice
1 8oz. Gouda cheese wheel
1 8oz farmer’s cheese wheel

ACCOMPANIMENT
1 8oz.package cream cheese
1 tb Granny smith apples, grated

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the

baking powder, baking soda and salt into the butter mixture. Stir
mixture until it is well combined and stir in the apples, cheese and
pecans. Spoon into well greased 9×5 loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 50-60
minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan. Cool
completely. Serve sliced bread with accompaniments. Garnish with
cheese wheels and apple wedges. (dip apple wedges in lemon juice to
preserve color).
