3 c Bake it all mix*
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Milk
1/2 c Sugar
1 c Nuts — chopped
*Do not pack. Break egg into bowl; beat. Stir in vanilla, milk, sugar
and nuts. Add Mix and beat until well blended. Turn into a 9 by 5 by
3-inch loaf pan, bottom rubbed with shortening. Bake in a 350 F. oven
about 45 minutes. Let stand about 10 minutes, then turn out on a
rack to cool.
Twelve hours storage
improves flavor and texture.
: FRUIT BREAD: Use chopped prunes or dried apricots instead
of nuts in the Nut Bread recipe.
