Ingrients & Directions


1 pk Delux spice cake mix
2 ts Ground ginger
2 lg Eggs
1/3 c Oil
1/3 c Dark molasses
1/2 c Flour
Dark raisins

Combine all ingredients-except raisins, in large bowl. Mix well. (mix will
be soft) Refrigerate 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375. Roll dough to 1/4 inch
thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut with 6-inch cookie cutter. Place
on ungreased cookie sheet. Press raisins in dough for eyes and buttons.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges just start to brown. Cool several minutes
on cookie sheet, then remove to racks to finish cooling.

Note- I like to use red hots as well as raisins, but put those just after
removing cookies from oven. Cool completely and ice if desired!! This are
great for the holidays when one is generally busy enough.
