1 qt Milk
5 -(up to)
6 c Bread cubes
1/4 c Butter
2 Eggs
3/4 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Nutmeg
1 c Raisins
Scald 1 qt. milk. Add 5-6 cups bread cubes, 1/4 c. butter.
Beat 2 eggs. Add 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1-1/2 tsp.
cinnamon, 1 tsp. nutmeg, 1 c. raisins.
Combine both mixtures. Pour into buttered 9×13″ pan. Sprinkle with
nutmeg. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min. to 1 hour.
