2 1/2 c Sugar 1 t Cinnamon
2/3 c Butter 1 t Cloves
4 ea Eggs, beaten 1 t Allspice
2 c Apple cider 1 t Lemon peel
1/3 c Milk plus 1 tsp vinegar 1/4 t Nutmeg
3 1/2 c Flour 1/2 c Walnuts
1/2 t Baking powder 1 c Mincemeat
2 t Baking soda 2 c Pumpkin
1 1/2 t Salt
Grease two loaf pans. In a deep mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs. Add pumpkin, cider and milk mixed with vinegar. Blend
well Comber each of the other ingredients, one at a time, and stir
into mixture. Add walnuts and mincemeat. Bake at 350 for 60 to 70
minutes. Keep one for your supper and give the other to a friend.
