Cornbread Waffles

Ingrients & Directions


1 1/2 c Cornmeal; 2 Egg yolk;
3/4 c All-purpose flour; sifted 1 1/2 c Buttermilk;
2 ts Baking powder 4 tb Butter; melted
1/2 ts Soda; 2 Egg whites, beaten
2 tb Sugar;

Soft dry ingredients together 3 times. Beat egg yolks and add to dry
ingredients alternately with milk. Stir in melted butter and then
fold in stiffy beaten egg whites. Bake in preheated waffle iron.
Serve hot, topped with turkey hash. Yield: 8 waffles.
