Cheesy Cornbread

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Flour
1 c Cornmeal
1 tb Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 c Milk
1 Egg
1 c Cheddar cheese
1/2 c Chopped green onion
2 tb Bacon drippings

Combine first four dry ingredients. Whisk together milk and egg. Stir
into dry ingredients to moisten. Stir in cheese and green onion. Heat
bacon drippings and pour into batter. Pour batter into iron skillet
or baking dish that has been greased. Bake at 375 degrees for 20
minutes or until done.
