Canadian Brown Bread

Ingrients & Directions


1 1/2 c Chopped dates
1 ts Baking soda
1 c Boiling water
1 Egg
1 c Sugar
1 c Chopped nuts
1 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Vanilla
1 pn Salt

Dissolve sode in water; pour over dates. Add all other ingredients and
blend well. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Place a pan of
water in oven during baking.
