Gardener Guy’s Mom’s Buttermilk Cornbread

Ingrients & Directions


2/3 c Flour
2/3 c Yellow cornmeal
2/3 c White cornmeal
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
2 ts Sugar
2 Eggs; slightly beaten
2 c Buttermilk
3 tb Melted butter
2 ts Vegetable oil; for iron
-skillet

Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk, and butter. Mix well. Heat oil
in cast-iron skillet. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake at 400 degrees
for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 8.
