Mexicali Meat Pie

Ingrients & Directions


1 8 Or 9-Inch Pastry Shell — -unbaked

-FILLING
1 Egg 1 tb Instant Minced Onion
1 lb Lean Ground Beef 1/2 ts Oregano
1 cn (7 Oz) Whole Kernel Corn 4 Green Olives, Stuffed —
W/Sweet Peppers — drained -sliced
1/2 c Soda Cracker Crumbs 6 sl Bacon, Crisp, Crumbled — if
1/2 c Chili Sauce -desired
2 tb Sweet Pepper Flakes

-TOPPING
1 Egg — slightly beaten 1/2 ts Dry Mustard
2 tb Milk 1/2 ts Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 ts Salt 1 c Cheddar Cheese — shredded

Beat egg slightly in mixing bowl. Add ground beef, corn, cracker
crumbs, chili sauce, sweet pepper flakes, onion and oregano. Mix
well. Press meat mixture firmly into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake at
425 F for 20 to 25 mins. Spread topping on filling. Top with olives
and bacon. Bake an additional 5 mins or until cheese melts. Let stand
10 mins before serving.

Topping: Combine egg and milk; add salt, dry mustard, Worcestershire
sauce, and cheese.

Makes 6 servings.
