Whole Wheat Cakes

Ingrients & Directions


1 1/3 c Whole wheat flour
3 ts Baking powder
3/4 ts Salt
3 tb Sugar
1 Egg, well beaten
1 c Milk
3 tb Melted shortening

Combine egg, shortening, and milk. Blend sugar, salt, and baking
powder with whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth. Bake on hot
griddle. 8 servings. The Household Searchlight – 1941
