1 c Quick-cooking oats 2 tb Sugarless applesauce
1/4 c Whole wheat flour (See Sugarless Applesauce
1/4 c All-purpose flour Recipe)
1 tb Baking powder 4 ea Egg whites
1 c Skim milk
In a bowl, combine the oats, flours and baking powder. In another
bowl, combine milk, applesauce and egg whites; add to dry ingredients
and mix well. pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a heated griddle coated
with nonstick cooking spray. Cook until bubbles appear on the top;
turn and caok until lightly browned. Yield: 5 servings (two pancakes
each). Diabetic Exchanges: One serving equals 1 starch; also, 91
calories, 323 mg sodium, 1 mg cholesterol, 15 gm carbohydrare, 5 gm
protein, trace fat
