Cold Water Xmas Cake

Ingrients & Directions


2 c White sugar ——-ADD—————–
1 ts Cinnamon 3 c Flour
1 ts Cloves 1 ts Soda
1 ts Nutmeg 1 x Pinch salt
2 tb Shortening 1 ts Vanilla
1 lb Seeded raisins 1 x Cherries and nuts
2 c Cold water 1 x Mixed dried peel (optional)

Boil and stir for 5 minutes the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg,
shortening, raisins and water. Let cool and then add the remaining
ingredients. Next pour into large well greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 375* for 1 1/2 hours.
