Sis Tom’s White Layer Cake

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Crisco
2 c Sugar
3 c Flour (sifted)
2 ts Lemon extract
2 ts Baking powder
1 c Milk
8 Egg whites (unbeaten)

Cream Crisco and sugar. Sift flour and baking powder. Add flour and milk
alternately. Add egg whites one at a time and beat 2 minutes after each
addition. Add flavoring. Bake in layers or a tube pan. Bake at 350 F.
