3 c Flour 1/2 c Sultanas
3 ts Baking powder 1/2 c Candied orange peel
1 ts Salt 1 c Orange juice
1 ts Bicarbonate of soda 1/2 c Water
1 c Sugar 1 c Tahini or peanut butter
1/2 c Walnuts Confectioners’ sugar
Sift flour; measure; add next 3 ingredients and sift again. Mix in
sugar and fruits.
Add orange juice and water slowly to tahini, blending thoroughly.
Pour into flour mixture and stir well. Turn into an oiled baking pan
13 x 9 inches lined with waxed paper. Baking in a moderate oven for
about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
