7 7/8 oz Butter
7 1/8 oz Sugar
7 Eggs; separated
1 pn Salt
1/2 lb Grated bitter chocolate
1/2 lb Blanched; slightly browned,
; chopped almonds
9 Heaped cup sifted flour
Beat butter to a cream, work in sugar.
Add beaten egg yolks while beating well.
Add grated chocolate, chopped almonds, salt.
Whip egg whites very stiff,
Add lightly, alternating with flour, to chocolate-almond mixture.
Pour into well-greased cake tin lined with greaseproof paper.
Bake in oven, 325? F (160?C) about 1-1/2 hours.
