1/2 c Margarine or butter
1 1/2 c Graham cracker crumbs
1 cn Sweetened condensed milk
1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/3 c Flaked coconut
1 c Nuts; chopped
Preheat oven to 350~ (325~ for glass dish). In 9×13″ pan, melt margarine in
oven. Sprinkle crumbs over margarine; pour sweetened condensed milk evenly
over crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients, in order; press down firmly.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut
into bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
1). SEVEN LAYER MAGIC BARS: Add 6 oz package butterscotch morsels after
chocolate chips.
2). DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MAGIC BARS: Increase chocolate chips to 12 oz.
3). RAINBOW COOKIE MAGIC BARS: Add 1 cup plain M&M’s after chocolate
chips.
4). MAGIC PEANUT BARS: Omit chocolate chips. Add 2 cups chocolate covered
peanuts.
5). MINT MAGIC BARS: Combine 1/2 tsp peppermint extract and 4 drops green
food coloring with sweetened condensed milk.
6). MOCHA MAGIC BARS: Add 1 tbls instant coffee granules and 1 tbls
chocolate flavored syrup to sweetened condensed milk.
7). PEANUT BUTTER MAGIC BARS: Beat 1/3 cup peanut butter with sweetened
condensed milk. Add 6 oz peanut butter chips after chocolate chips.
8). MAPLE MAGIC BARS: Combine 1/2 to 1 tsp maple flavoring with sweetened
condensed milk.
