Oatmeal Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


1 c All purpose flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 c QUICK QUAKER OATS
6 tb Granulated white sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar, packed
1/2 c Butter, softened
1 Egg
1/2 ts Vanilla extract
1 tb Water
1/2 c Chocolate chips or seedless
-raisins (optional)

This recipe is from TV Guide.

Heat oven to 325 F. Sift together flour, salt and soda in a bowl. Stir in
QUICK QUAKER OATS. In a seperate bowl, cream together sugar, brown sugar
and butter. Add egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture and beat until
smooth. Add dry mixture; then add water and mix. If desired, add raisins or
chocolate chips then mix well. Drop cookies 1 Tbsp on an ungreased cookie
sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown. MAKES 2 1/2 – 3 DOZEN.
