1 Stick unsalted butter
2/3 c Firmly packed light brown
-sugar
3 Eggs
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla extract
Good dash of bourbon
1/2 c Corn syrup
3 tb Molasses
1 tb All-purpose flour
1/3 c Chopped pecans
1/2 c Semisweet chocolate chips
1 9 inch pie shell

Fleming’s restaurant in South Dade. It always seemed to be the perfect
ending to a perfect dinner. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the butter and
sugar until very light. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after
each addition. Add salt, vanilla, bourbon, corn syrup and molasses. Blend
well. Sprinkle the flour over the pecans, then toss the pecans and
chocolate chips into the filling. Turn into pie shell and bake 35 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream. Makes 8 servings.
